Beautiful, memory-making, lovely Zilina.
I’ve lost count of the times we’ve been here, on our way to Martin in Slovakia. (Half an hour down the road) Zilina is a beautiful town with two pretty squares, fountains, lots of cheap cafes, good shops and a little market where we’ve picked up lots of bargains. Got all your technology shops too as my hubby discovered when he realised he’d left his mobile phone charger in England. Train station, football ground, oh and an ice-hockey team that rivals Martin (and when we saw the two play Martin won! Hooray!) Surrounded by mountains and a fab place to go. Good out-of-town shopping places too, Carrefour (with MacDonalds) became a regular, and a little toy shop there for our girls to lust after. Tesco, etc etc. Stop if you’re driving past, and if you’re not then drive there!
