welly is lovely, funky, fresh, neat, friendly, and full of things to do – though it’s windy as all hell and can get quite cold in early spring (when i was there). museums, cuba district definitely worth checking out.

christchurch is beautiful. it feels good to be there. read a book on the banks of the gently winding avon; wander hagley park; peek at the neat stores on manchester and high streets.

And I hated it for a long time, while I was there and after I left, but I’m finally discovering that it’s in my heart and I’ll love it always.

Seems to be the place to be for rock climbing… I had fun. My first and second times ever were here.

Go to Mighty O’s Donuts and The Globe – absolutely amazing organic, trans-fat free donuts and some of the most amazing vegetarian food I’ve ever had, respectively.

It was amazing – like Vancouver but slightly more temperate, and with a few Americans – yuck! But I want to go back. My stay was too short!
