What an interesting place… It’s like Disneyworld in some senses; everything is obviously staged and not quite authentic, but it’s very fascinating to walk around Portmeirion a little. A good spot for lunch. And the gardens/woods are beautiful to walk through. And that dried up lake thing is weird.

Bonn is OK. I mean, there are cooler cities in that region of Germany, like Köln. But, if you are into government or history or something, it’s probably worth checking out. Ha.

I was in Eville for a wedding one weekend, and after the reception, I went to Someplace Else, a gay bar downtownish. It was a blast! Everyone was very friendly and the drinks were so cheap. Great scene.

If you take a jetski into the river, be careful not to capsize. Especially when a freighter is passing by… Yikes.

It’s the best airport in the world for one reason—the smell! Getting off of a 10+ hour flight on a cramped airplane is totally worth it the moment you get that first whiff of flowers…it’s awesome. My favorite smell in the world.

My mom, born and raised in Hawai’i, insists that we go to Waimea Bay every time we visit. It’s awesome. A beautiful beach, tons of crazy people jumping off the cliffs, etc. And great surf during peak seasons.

Last time I was in Hawai’i, I made it to Waikiki two different nights and had a blast. It’s a completely different part of Hawai’i’s culture-nightlife! Walking from bar to bar isn’t much different from being in Chicago or New York, but you have the ocean right across the street-and you can even go swimming after a great night out! Lots of fun.

Go early! Beat the tour busses! Take your own snorkeling gear! Go once if you get the chance, it’s the best snorkeling in terms of types and numbers of fish to see.

Lahaina is nice, but extremely touristy. All of the stores have “local” things, most of which you can find in gift shops at the airport. There are some nice restaurants, though, most of which are situated over the water, which is very nice.

Savannah is a beautiful southern town with lots of great things to eat and do, especially at night. I was here for like 12 hours one time with a group from school and we had a blast! The main downtown area is wonderful to walk through—warm, lit up, lots to see and experience.
