Many contrasts in Hong Kong: grey old poor buildings vs new blinking offices, traditional temples hidden in modern streets, crowded places vs beautiful parks, eating at little food stalls on street vs having dinner buffet in hotels.
Speaking about food, the food is fantastic. All those dim sum restaurants, food courts, bakeries.. my favourite place for food was a little shop specialised in fruit drinks and desserts..
When you are in Hong Kong, also go shopping, mountain the Victoria peak and visit the Giant Buddha.
