Okay, so Quebec was interesting, but the sheer attitude held about Americans by many of the people was very offputting; they need to stop being so whiny and passive aggressive, and accept that Americans put millions of tourist dollars into their country, so please be more tolerant of our attempts to speak french.

Washington is… boring. Oregon is much prettier. Sure, WA’s got SOME things going for it, but if you want cities, then Cali’s a better bet, and if you want scenic, then Oregon is a better bet.

It’s like Vermont, only harsher. I say if you’re gonna visit somewhere, go to Vermont instead.

Being a west coast gal, I only had dim memories of my early years being raised in good ‘ol VT… but when I went back to visit family, I was floored by how different the geography was! The rolling green mountains burst into flame like colors in the autumn, and they are a spectacle well worth the visit… the mountains themselves are gorgeous as well, and the wildlife is abundant. The only downside is that the entire state pretty much reeks of cow.

Utah has the most amazing geography that I’ve ever seen; forget Salt Lake, and mormon culture. There are things definately worth seeing here, so only dwell on those if you’re going to be in Utah a good long time! Capitol Reef, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Bingham Copper Mine… plus, they have a great amtgard group there, full of awesome people. (amtgard is a medieval/fantasy game, google it for more info)

Oregon kicks ass. Despite it’s long rainy season, it is beautiful, green, and the culture here is spiffy. Our city is pretty, and no matter what climate you seek, you’re likely to be able to find it here, in Oregon. Hooray! Also, our beaches are much prettier than california’s, even if they are colder. Pbbbt.
