If you are bored and in Austin, go rent a canoe for an hour or two- either go out on Town Lake and see the city from an entirely new view point, go turtle hunting, or bring bread and feed the ducks (but watch out for the evil hissing swans of death!). When I go I usually eat dinner on the canoe with a friend and watch people jump off of the bridge by Barton Springs. It’s great exercise and it’s worth trying!
over 5 years agoI don’t understand why everyone loves it, I’ve never had a good burger here. Maybe I just have deficient taste buds, but either way I didn’t find it all that special.
over 5 years agoYou have your Austin hippies, your ice cold water (which I strangely love), hot guys in flower print swim trunks, and if you’re lucky there’s the creepy men in thongs. If you’re a yoga freak there’s always someone doing yoga, and if you are weird and looking for other weird people, well you’ll find at least 10 other people just like you! If you are normal then go and people watch.
Just go, you’ll have a good time no matter who you are.
