Why I want to go to this place

Me and my dad have been going on a road trips for the past two summers. We’ve decided to make it a tradition now. Last summer we went to Lily Dale, New York and then New York city this summer. He says I’ll like LA better than New York, I hope so.

Does driving though Newark count as being there?

I LOVE how everyone drives. It’s hilarious, I’ve never seen anything like it. In Michigan, the other person drives as if there isn’t a car cutting them off and would rather hit them than slow down or stop.
What I seen in Newark and New York was crazy, but organized. So even though a semi almost slammed into us on a bridge and we drove down the wrong side of the street, people were aware.

I stay in temperance sometimes. Its a nice, small town. Maggies cafe is a good place to eat. It’s close to Toledo and franklin park mall, that’s the only good thing about it.

Kansas

Why I want to go to this place

When I think of Kansas I think of a small town of log cabins, a church, and a bar. Like the western town in the movie Far and Away (good movie if you haven’t seen it). I also think of a million acrea of wheat fields. I want to go to clear up my log cabin misconceptions.

Michigan

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Michigan

I live in Michigan, its the most depressing place in the US. I’ve traveled from the southeast corner up to the northern penninsula more times than I care to remember. Unless you’re passing though or a couple that likes the senic view of twenty miles of trees, I don’t suggest coming here.
I went to white fish point (on a north east shore of the NP), it had cool light houses and I heard about a pretty fun zoo. The state is not a place for kids, for sure. (Try cedar point in Sandusky, OH)
I’ve heard some out of state people think Detroit is a nice city. Maybe if you want to get shot =[

Everywhere

Why I want to go to this place

The world is huge and I’ve only explored a small crumb of it. I live way out in the rural area of southeast michigan. It’s winter six months out of the year and in the summer, it’s not nearly as beautiful as other states. I don’t feel like I could be content to only see my own little town of 2,000 people.
When I think about traveling one day (I’m 16, so I don’t have many options) and how much of the world is left to see, I feel confident without any insecruities and I’m comfortable in my own skin. Is that werid or what? Traveling to a new place (even if it’s pretty close to where I live) is thrilling to me. I’ve dreamed of having an adventure like a movie, full of action, suspense, and danger.
Carleton will always be home to me, but I want to travel and live in other places. If I ever settle down and have a family early in my life, God forbid haha, I think I’d go crazy.
