I went here for a school choir trip around the 10th grade, but I don’t really remember anything about the park.

The museum itself is okay, but the Omni is what’s REALLY cool about this place. The Omni is an IMAX Dome theatre, which means instead of the screen being huge and in front of you, your chair is tilted back and the screen is more planitarium style. It makes you feel like you’re inside the IMAX film. Very nice.

Coolfont is a vacation resort with rental vacation homes. The homes are absolutely beautiful, as are the surroundings.

We used to vacation here when I was a child (I lived in Maryland). It’s quite beautiful and serene, although there’s little modern attractions to actually do or see. A great vacation for nature lovers!

This place and its rock formations are truly spectacular.

You spend quite some time listening to the tour guide about the mostly uninteresting rock formations before you actually get to see the falls, which are spectacular. They only turn on the lights and let you walk around the falls for a couple minutes though before going back.

An educational, scenic way to get up and down the mountain!

Downtown Chattanooga is small and lively and is central to so many educational attractions, it makes for a perfect family vacation!

Definitely a place every American should make a point of visiting in their lifetime (way, way above Washington D.C. in my opinion).
