We visited the national park, walked around downtown, saw the river. It was the most i remember about being in Mississippi. For some reason i remember seeing holly and a ironclad. It was a good day.

But the capital was really fun.

We camped here. It was humid, but definitely not the worst campground i’ve stayed at.

i especially enjoyed walking around in all the tourist traps. i bought a beach towel (that i still have, it’s huge but worn out) and really wanted a pewter letter opener but it was just too pricey. A nearby lighthouse was also a great visit (can’t remember the name, but we saw it the same day, so i’m mentioning it here).

The underground was really fun. i wanted to go to the Coca-Cola museum but the line to get in was way too long. ): Will have to go back someday.

the Quilt Museum was great, the antique shop i visited was memorable, and the drive out (westward) was beautiful.

Daniel Boone stuff was fun

The aquarium, ride around the harbor, Bubba Gump, and Sticky Fingers were all great. I didn’t get to go to Fort Sumter or the Imax, but next time around i will. (:

i lived here for a year. It was a commute, but it was a nice place to live: close to shopping, but it still has the feeling that you live out in the country. i don’t expect that feeling to last, though… the city creeps nearer.

“Uptown” is really nice. The library is pretty good and the trolley is free. The kids museum is pretty good, though not the best i’ve ever been too. I know most of the nooks and crannies of uptown, and would never want to live here again, but i’ll always have my memories (good and bad). Worth a visit, but be careful in traffic.
