I love this part of Canada. The natural splendors of the province shine in any season, and lovers of art, cinema, literature, and history will find something to discover in its sophisticated and historic cities. Fun-loving, cultured, friendly and open, Montreal offers the joys of Paris with the affability of a laid-back capital, while Quebec City is like a European jewel in the middle of North America. The real treasures of this part of the world, though, are the people. Friendly, accepting, and welcoming of people of all persuasion, it’s the Quebecois that have me coming back year after year.

I was a little afraid of the line, the language, and the seemingly complex ordering system. The amazing staff and friendly vibe quickly set me at ease. This place has amazing baked goods that are well worth jockeying with the line of well-mannered and patient locals. Try the pain au chocolat, the home-made granola or any of the breads. Try anything. You’ll be amazed.
