NYC - Wish I was only a visitor

6 months ago my husband got a job transfer here and well, since I do happen to be married to him, I came along. I had never wanted to come to NYC even to visit, but HEY! whaddya know, now I’m living here.

You have to understand that the above paragraph is NOT a slam. I was born in a smaller city with open spaces and grass under my feet and those two things mean more to me now than they did then.

I do recommend NYC for many planned out visits because there is so much to do that one visit just wouldn’t have enough hours to do the things you wanted to do. It is an amazing city just because it “stays open all night”, you can have anything you want delivered to your door, walk anywhere you want, and NEVER run out of things or people to see.

As for me….I will bide my time here and soak in all (well just like I say “Never say never”, Never say ALL either) that the city has to offer while I am here. But as I write, the plans are being made to put grass under my feet and to be able to look out my living room window and see a tree instead of a buliding.

Kansas City, Missouri

My Home Town

I was born and partially raised in Kansas City, which by the way is a wonderful little-big city where the people are still friendly. A city rich in history, and culture believe it or not, with a small town feel. And don’t forget my all time favorite, I’m a die-hard fan, Kansas City Chiefs football! Not only are the games the most exciting to go to, but the tailgate parties are known to be the best in the United States!

If you’re thinking about visiting, I can guide you to the right places.

St. Louis, Missouri

3rd Largest Mardi Gras

I lived in St. Louis for about 3 years and fell in love with the architecture. The incorporation of french style into many of the historical homes in neighborhoods like Benton Park and Soulard made for some stunning architechture inside and out. It was easy to go back in time and imagine what living in these areas must have been like back 100 years or so ago.

Another wonderful part of St. Louis history is the Mardi Gras celebration. I participated the 3 years I was there and it was indeed a celebration not to be missed. The parades, the music, the food, the parties were all something I am glad I could be a part of.
