My close friend Matt worked on the Teen Chicago exhibit. He is very, very proud of his work (and all of his friends are, too). Actually, he, his twin brother, and I played some music at the opening night extravaganza. It was unimportant, but fun.

I got a piece of pizza the size of my head! Just around the corner from Improv Olympic, and right next to the El. And they’ve got pieces of pizza the size of my head!

It’s more worth it than the Mona Lisa!

It’s not necessarily about the food, although the menu is veggie/vegan friendly, if I remember correctly.

I was fairly excited. Once I arrived, however, I realized that this is one of the more grotesque celebrations of consumption (both literal and figurative) that I’ve ever attended. If you don’t like the mall, don’t plan on spending long at the Taste. If you don’t like watching unhealthy people eat expensive samples of dozens of different styles of food from all over the country, don’t go. If, on the other hand, you can manage to ignore all the people around you and you know how to stay cool on hot days in big crowds and you like food a lot, by all means, get your Taste on!

Was the last time I came to Portland before moving here. I went with my friend Raissa and my sister, and I can’t tell you how much fun we had.

i couldn’t sit down and had to order my drink directly from the kitchen. i love this place!

edit: this is not sarcasm. this is a lovely cafe, just as crowded at 10:30 pm as it is at 5:30 pm (i’d imagine).

We changed tables like 3 times and it took forever to get what we wanted. That being said, this cafe is a great spot, although I can’t help comparing it to the Pied Cow, which probably wins.
