Pea Patch Island
Legend has it that Pea Patch Island was created by a sunken barge. This barge contained a large shipment of peas which grew into an underwater pea patch. Over the years, the patch caught dirt and trash and stuff and became a real island.
It is the site of Fort Delaware, which is now a living history museum.
