dont listen to anyone who says this place isnt worth visiting, because it’s simply not true. granted the roads can be a bit bumpy with a great proportion of the worlds pothole quota, some toilets involve squatting and the language is unintelligible until you learn it(it took me a year) but you would be sad if you let any of this put you off.
i have lived there on and off for 4 years and visit regularly, and can honestly say the place is unique. you need a sense of humour, but if you have one you can’t fail to have a good time. there is alway something interesting and bonkers happening even in the middle of nowhere, the people are mad, aggrresivly friendly and totally hospitable.
the countryside north and south is beautiful, and life certainly has that slower pace of life that people always bang on about in relation to other places but shall not truly find untill visiting Albania!
This country is probably the benchmark of character, if you couldnt hack it or didn’t like it quite simply you probably don’t have much of one!
