Worth visiting!

Absolute love.

One of my favorite cities. I love Geneva. Lived there for a year, would definitely consider moving back.

A tip I have about this place

I prefer Vienna in the spring/summer/fall. Lots of cultural activities in winter, but you don’t enjoy the city as much, with all the rain and wind. Make sure you fly in with a company that uses BIG planes, as smaller aircraft feel TERRIFYING when landing on a windy day (my landing was so scary a few people were crying, mom’s landing the very next day included a wonderful “missed approach”!). Beautiful city, great in the summer because of the summer film festivals and such around the Rathaus, if you go fall/winter, try and go to the opera, definitely a must. The Schloß Schönbrunn is a must visit, the Museum of Natural History is fun if you’re traveling with kids. Chocolate Factory… amazing, and don’t forget to order a melange and some strudel!

A review of this place: Small, kind of boring.

Title says it all. Pretty areas, but nothing special. Nothing too exciting. For a pretty place to walk around or for an actual town to enjoy, check out Marbella and Puerto Banus.

A tip I have about this place

If you go by boat from Spain, I recommend getting out of the port as quickly as you can, and finding a tour guide once outside (or having them find you!). The tour guides are actually pretty friendly, seriously cheap, and they keep everyone away from you… anyone who might try to sell you things or bother you. They take you to the nice places, and, of course, recommend shops where they get a cut from what you buy, but hey, better than having people bugging you during your entire stay!

Pan-American Highway

(in Chile)
Untitled

The Pan-American Highway runs from Quellón, Chile, to Fairbanks, Alaska. It is the longest highway in the world, and the network of roads measure nearly 48,000km (29,800 miles). Parts are paved, parts are forest roads, and every type of geographical scenery is present on this road. It goes through Chile, Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, United States, and Canada.

How amazing would it be to take a car and drive its entire length???

Ahaha! This is the cutest idea. I know they have these stores all over the U.S., but I had never actually been to one until I was in Denmark. You choose a stuffed animal without the stuffing… you take it to a machine and stuff it full of “love and hugs and good thoughts” and you kiss a little heart that goes inside your animal. You “bathe” it and dress it and name it… and even get a “birth certificate” for it. Adorable!

Absolutely fun. It was like being in an entirely different country (Denmark didn’t do much for me). Fantastic time.

I have never met such a stuffy, pretentious, racist, close-minded bunch of people. They were okay with me, but pretty racist with most of the people around me. They don’t laugh, they don’t smile, it’s like they don’t even breathe. If you talk on the bus or the tram above a whisper, people give you dirty looks and shush you. If you go to the movies to see a comedy, NO ONE laughs. It was kind of depressing to be there.

It’s kind of crazy being there. Even just sitting around the cafeteria, you know there are all these brilliant minds thinking, talking, comparing, theorizing… it’s amazing.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

It’s simply the most amazing city in the world. So much to do, so much to see. The food is amazing, the people are nicer than you’d imagine, and sigh!
