Branson

Worth visiting!

Its all grown up

I can remember when there was really only one road through town. White water and Silver Dollar City were about the only things there for kids. I remember Sammys boat rides down on the river. If you go west of 76 and go past Sheppard of the hill… keep looking to the right and you find a small entrance…. take it and you’ll find one of Bransons cool little secrets. At night, you’ll get to see all the lights of Branson from there….... very sweet!

Went to school here!

My Dad taught music here back around 1976! We lived about 4 blocks from the park. I remember going to the pool and losing my huge “Jolly Green Giant” kite at that park way back then.

Springfield

Worth visiting!

Lived There all my life

I grew up in a small town about 20 minutes NW of Spfld. called Ash Grove. Springfield is a place that you had better get going guick in. It has a tendency to chew you up and spit you out if your not carefull. The northside is a blend of oldschool and veryl little new. This is the direction of the first growth spurt. The West side is not the place to visit unless you are from there and know the place… or more like the places NOT to go. The East side is slightly nicer than the North but the South side is where all the growth is going on. To me it seemed like it only took a year for the south side to grow into its own little town! they dont seem to think the rest of the town is really there. To them, Springfield IS the South side. The downtown area is the place to go if you like to visit “different” kinds of clubs. and I mean different. It seems that every kind of club is available to you. My cousin used to own(might still… dont know) the Juke Joint. Its right on the corner of downtown and is pretty damn big. Go in and ask for Jabe!
