i had a fake fish dish that was pretty tasty. enough for two people to split. i also had the “egg” drop soup which was delicious. and the gula malacca desert which i wish i could have again right now!
over 5 years agoi got a bloody mary which was pretty odd tasting. i don’t know what was wrong with it exactly but i was disappointed in it. i got the coconut soup which was pretty good. most of the veggies were practically raw, which was okay with me. i also got the roasted portabella mushroom sandwich which was juicy and tasty but tore the roof of my mouth apart. injury lasted three days or so. would like to go back sometime and have the lentil loaf with mashed taters. they have an online menu.
over 5 years agoThe architecture is just amazing. It has a really dated, historic feel. Almost nothing looks new. The wrought iron gates between the building are gorgeous. I loved how people cemented broken bottles of pretty colors (blue, green, brown) to the tops of the walls. I love to peer through the fencing to see the courtyards behind the building. A little sleezier than I expected… and the laws are different from most of the country. You are allowed to drink on the streets… and in your car… they have drive up daquiri shops there… weird.
