The coast of Albania is like its own hidden European riviera..very beautiful, and not overrun by tourists. People were friendly, but I was lucky enough to have a friend translate for me – it would have been very hard without any Albanian/English bilingual persons around!
over 7 years agoA totally magical place, visit Antigua, the western highlands and of course, the Peten and Tikal. Bring bug juice, the mosquitos can be vicious at the ruins!
over 7 years agoOf course you have to be careful, as with anywhere, but Honduras has a lot to offer that I think its famous cousin Costa Rica lacks…don’t get me wrong, Costa Rica is wonderful, but Honduras has prettier beaches, more culture and Maya ruins.
