i wanted to be able to say that i’d been to toad suck ferry.
over 6 years agoi spent two months living in athens with my then-boyfriend before he moved up here to seattle. one day, he was an artist, and when a friend of his was having a show, he went (i had a headache that day and stayed home, dammit).
he was standing there talking to his friend when some bald guy came up and said many nice things about the guy’s work. matt (the ex-boyfriend) didn’t understand why compliments from a random bald guy. after the bald guy left, they had this conversation:
the friend: wow! michael stipe likes my artwork!
matt: he was here?
the friend (once he picked his jaw up off the floor): that was him.
oops.
he left
over 6 years agostepping outside is like stepping into a sauna. i wondered why there were so few sidewalks. then i went for a walk, and three people stopped to see if my car had broken down and whether i needed help.
nothing to see there, folks. move along. seriously.
