The Kennedy School

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

I went with my boyfriend to watch the Grey’s Anatomy season premier on the movie screen there. It was packed! I couldn’t believe that many people came out for a television show. It was kinda nice to see it on the big screen and drink beer, I just wish I had gotten there earlier so I could have sat on the couches and had time to order a pizza!

Veve

To be fair, I was in a crap mood because my parents were in town and I had to show them all around a city I hardly knew (I’d only lived here for about six months), but the person behind the counter didn’t know what a veve was or whose veve were on the walls.

Don't Park in Parking Garages!

Don’t park in the parking garages downtown! Or at least pay more attention to the tiny little signs that say when the garages close. I live in Portland and drove down to Eugene for a day trip visiting a friend who lives in Eugene. We parked in the parking garage. We came back at 6:30 and the garage was closed and locked with my car inside. It is at that point that my friend says “Huh, I got locked in a parking garage once before.” What!? Then why the hell didn’t you warn me not to park in the garage!? It was pretty dreadful. We had to crash with some of his friends that I had never met overnight, I was wearing a super uncomfortable bra and didn’t have any clean underwear. We had to wait until ten a.m. to get the car and drive home. It was dreadful. Learn from me – don’t park in the parking garages!

Tucson

Worth visiting!

Home :)

Tucson has been my home since June, 2005. I moved here from Las Vegas. I was really surprised that the weather is so different from Vegas – the monsoon season has such killer humidity! But Tucson has a really great little underground arts and music scene. An inexpensive scene, at that. There is always live music, comedy, events. The town population swells during the school year because of Uinversity of Arizona; it’s quiet and really laid back in the summer, it’s hoppin’ during the school year. Plus, if you’re into comic books, there are a surprising number of places to buy, sell, and trade at good prices. I’m glad I moved here and got the Tucson experience.
