I wasted almost an hour in my desperate need for a cup of coffee at one of only two eateries serving a group of about ten gates during my connection here. I’ll try to avoid this airport at all costs in the future.

My plan is to visit Dublin sometime in the next two years with my sister. She’s always been such a huge fan of Irish culture, and I think the place looks beautiful and so interesting. I’d love to stay at a quaint local hotel, visit some pubs, explore the city, and maybe take some sort of tour of castles in the greater area. I really don’t know where to start putting it all together, but I’m excited about the thought of it nonetheless!

In two weeks, I’ll be in NYC! I’m flying up on a Tuesday, meeting my family at the airport, spending a few jam-packed days catching a broadway show and a concert, and seeing all the sites. On Saturday, I unfortunately return home. I’m very excited about the whole thing! I’ve had this goal for a long time, and it’s finally coming to fruition!

Castles are always lots of fun, and there was so much to see at the Tower of London! I really enjoyed the time I got to spend here. The weaponry was amazing, and so was the vast history of the whole place. Be prepared to walk up and down lots of tiny spiral staircases!

It’s not the best natural history museum I’ve ever been to. However, I had a good time, and thought that the building was beautiful!

My family has been going to SeaWorld San Antonio since I was a little kid. It’s a really fun park, especially if you go on an “off” day like a weekday once kids have gone back to school or a Sunday during the holiday season.

I really think these are the most beautiful falls by far, at Niagara. You have to see them in person to understand how incredible they are.

My parents came up to Pittsburgh for a visit, and this was high on their list of things to do. I obliged and went with them, and was definitely pleasantly surprised. We went during the Dale Chihuly exhibit, in which this incredible glass work was displayed mixed in with the plants and flowers. The different rooms in the conservatory show off such a variety of plants and themes. It’s definitely worth a visit, and I’ll probably go back again some time.

Now that I live in Pennsylvania, it was only natural for me to get this one checked off my list. After being an architectural engineering student for a couple years, I’ve studied this house. Our tour guide wasn’t too bright, so I found myself whispering explanations about the building to my family behind her back. This house makes it evident how much thought Frank Lloyd Wright put into his houses, and really makes me want to see more of his designs.

My advice, if you’re planning a visit, is to eat first. There’s a decent cafe at the visitor’s center here, but it’s a bit overpriced. The house is located in a really out-of-the-way part of PA, and there really aren’t any places to stop nearby. Also, make reservations. I was very surprised at the amount of people who come to visit the home (and we were on a Thursday, nonetheless!). If we hadn’t had reservations, the wait was about 45 minutes to an hour. And finally, give yourself lots of time to tour the grounds, especially if you want to take pictures.

This is the hotel we stayed at during our Niagara Falls visit. It was amazing! Not only are the amenities (e.g. the pool, free afternoon snacks, etc.) amazing, but our room offered the best view of the falls! We all agreed that looking out the window of our room showed the falls even better than any of the observation decks.
