Don’t touch anything… for god sakes. Nothing. Don’t even look like you’re going to touch something. The guide WILL single you out and scold you. LOL – it’s true!

over 6 years agoI gave this place three chances because of the convenient location. Strike one: friend received a beef dish in which the beef was still frozen in some parts. Strike two: husband and I had big tummy trouble one evening after meal. Strike three: received a dish with rotten avocado and they would not replace the dish nor would they take it off my cheque. I strongly do not recommend this place.
Go a few more blocks south west and check out Gui Rei. It’s on Queen’s Quay at Bathurst, just a little east of Bathurst… Very excellent fresh food, great service.
over 7 years agoNot sure the Falkland Islanders would be happy to see their land categorised under Argentina. There was that war and all…
That said, this is a brilliant place. I travelled here in 2004 with my husband, we stayed on 3 islands over one week. Pictures are here: http://www.lilyonthedustbin.com/wedding (excuse the wedding photos, go to the honeymoon for serious penguin action)
The people were fantastic, the scenery amazing. Adventure you will never forget and worth every penny. We saw six species of penguin: King, Magellanic, Rockhopper, Gentoo, Macaroni and Erect-crested.
