Algarve

Worth visiting!

Worth visiting if you go to the real Algarve

Albufeira may once have been the real Algarve, a long, long while ago, but now English is the main language there;and I’m not badmouthing the english native speakers or anything, not even tourists that go there and make it the touristic spot that it is.

But really, Algarve is vulgar there; it’s about clubs and spas and hotels and pools. People go to the pool with a Great beach right there at 10 mts away from them.
The town has too many buildings and pubs and all the stupid touristy stuff that I’d want to avoid in summer vacations.

If a person wants to see the beauty of the beaches they should go to Lagos, or further, up till Sagres… or the long streches of sand, in Monte Gordo (but wah, too crowded there too).

I love Algarve, but not Armação de Pera, Albufeira or Portimão, the big ugly spots desined for the stereotyped tourist that only is looking to get sunburt in the afternoon, drunk in the evening and pass out in a neat hotel at night.
For me the real Algarve is Tavira, Vila Real de Santo António or some of the less ‘touristy’ places.
I’ve been spending my summer vacations there ever since I remember and I still love it and have never had to deal with too many tourists, bar rows and the like, I feel like I’ve seen and felt the real Algarve, or at least, something much closer to the real one, and not what is advertised and that I’d never ever think of buying.

;)

Great town with lots to see… ♥
I was creeped out by the chapel of bones, love the temple of diana, stared at the cathedral and walked through the palace gardens… it was lovely indeed…

Montmartre

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I was there, though more than 6 years ago.
I was not old enough to enjoy it, but I find that it is the part of Paris that I remember the best… I remember the decay air that was at the bottom of the steps, and the nice envyronment at the top of montmartre…
Even so, I felt that this was a place that had hidden stories, romantesque concepts and was probably more real than many of the other touristic places I’d been to.
I’d love to go there with someone who enjoyed the simplest things in life and new where to take me.

When I went to London this last summer I stayed in a hotel spot on Picadilly Circus and loved it!
It is always so alive and is so central… _

It’s a great place to visit…
If you want to have space to walk I’d advise not going on a market day though. Even though the portobello market is lovely :P

Porto

Worth visiting!

!

I loved it !
I have a thing about grey and gloomy, and Porto has this quality sometimes.
But I often hear that people don’t like it because of that… well, I don’t know if it was luck or not, but last time I went there the sun was shinning the most there.
