A paradise for food lovers, it’s beautiful, historic, fun, and interesting. And delicious!

I was very excited to visit the first-ever Starbucks at Pike Place Market.

20,000 birds. They make quite a racket on a tiny island. Add the foghorn of a nearby lighthouse and you have a soundscape. Crumbling WW 2 era fortifications. Tunnels. Ornithologists. It’s quite a place.

I went to visit the headwaters of the Passaic River, which can be found next to the athletic fields of Mendham High School. The headwaters are marked by signs. If you like rivers, I recommend it.

Visited a few weeks ago. If you go, bring work gloves and a shovel because you will need to dig your way under several fences. Interesting from a historical point of view. Certainly an unusual place in the city. It’ll make a nice park.

A special place within the New York City limits. I went today on a beautiful early summer day. There are birds and the smells of the sea. It’s on a small island and you are always near the water. I classified it as not worth visiting because there isn’t much to do there.

I took the subway to Dyre Avenue and a long walk till I got to Park Drive. I walked around in the snow and took a few pictures. It was very interesting to be there.

I found out that Coast Guard permission is required to visit here. But I still want to go.
