Worth visiting!
The last time I went to this place
I didn’t get a chance to roll down the Grassy Knoll.

This was the first vacation I’ve been on in years. Everywhere you turn is a beautiful view of the lake or the mountains. We stayed in a lakefront cabin, which was really lovely.
The resort we stayed at was run by a bunch of really nice people. But I’d not go on a holiday weekend again. There were a lot of drunken and stupid louts who would run around being loud and obnoxious. I got up really early just to enjoy the beach without them.
Still, most of the townspeople are very nice. The village is a bit like a huge boardwalk, but there are some decent shops. I hadn’t been on vacation in years, so I went all out and brought the requisite snowglobe and hoodie. Try the Pancake and Steak House, after going for a ride at the ranch across the street! But don’t ride Poncho. He’s a nice enough horse, but he moves very slowly, doesn’t like to be rushed, and is easily distracted by tasty-looking maple leaves.

I want to go to Timbuktu! It’s legendary, after all. I hope to be able to do a bit of touring in Africa some day. It seems to be neglected as a travel destination because of troubles in certain countries. To avoid the entire continent is a bit like never going to NYC because of the crime rate in LA.
