Worth visiting!
Ladakh
I spent a little over 3 weeks in Leh, Ladakh, at around 11,000 feet. The Himalayas are absolutely incredible, and the people there are wonderful. There are some amazing Buddhist monasteries and desert landscapes to see in this region (not to mention the incredibly jagged mountains).
