Lived here for two years and now (surprisingly) miss it. A nice small town. And about 30 minutes south of Columbia, near a bend in the river, is a little trailor that serves Thai food. Don’t ask, but trust me: Delicious.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Can’t vouch for winter, but summer in Milwaukee is always interesting. It has every kind of heritage festival you can imagine. Germanfest was the only time I’ve ever seen a lead vocalist for some random band decked out in lederhosen play air guitar.

Check out the H-D factory, the art museum, the lakefront, and don’t forget the spy-themed bar The Safehouse. Though good luck finding it…
