The last time I went to this place

I was visiting a dear friend, and she took me to a lovely tea house, where I had the world’s BEST chai tea EVER! (which is saying a lot for me, because I abhor chai.)

I used to live here...

Denver was such a bustle of metropolitan living, but I never had to go very far to be back out in nature, in the woods, the mountains. I loved the ambience and environs of Denver, but sadly I had to leave for other less green pastures.
As a matter of fact, I am here right now, gearing up to go to Grand Junction’s Winefest 2006, having partaken of it last year. What a blast that was! This year, we are going to stop at the Hot Springs after a long day of wine-tasting. WOOHOO!

Juarez

Not worth visiting!

Untitled

Unless you actually go further into Juarez proper, I recommend staying away from the border. All there is are nightclubs, pharmacies, and oddly enough, optometrists.

A tip I have about this place

The place where we stayed was a little enclave of this spa town, and I received the best aromatherapeutic massage there. They also sell cosmetic mud, locally made of course, and that stuff is a treat, very tingly and warm, leaving the skin positively glowing.

True Customer Service

My mother’s cousin, who is a local of Guadalajara, took us shopping one day to this quaint little village. We entered into a clothing store and were immediately greeted by the most comely of women, bearing little shot of locally made liquers. The only one I recognized was ciruela, but they were all good! They were not pushy, did not try and upsell everything in the store but let us try on various fashions in our own good time. I ended up with a beautiful, embroidered creamy linen dress. It was the best shopping experience ever!
