My wife and I stayed at the Choo-Choo one year for our anniversary. It was a great location within walking or trolley distance to just about everything you would want to do around the area.

After 20 years of living in the city of Birmingham, I have finally gotten back to country living. My wife and I recently moved into our new house on a 3 acre lot in Hayden. It is quiet space with wide open fields. We love it!

I did not get to go into the Pentagon. I went not too long after 9/11 to see the devastation that had happened. They were in the process of cleaning up and getting ready to start rebuilding when I went.

Rising 6,643 feet above the Great Smoky Mountains, Clingman’s Dome is the highest point along the Appalachian Trail and provides a 360º view of the surrounding mountains. From it’s 54 foot observation tower the average viewing distance is about 22 miles, but on a clear pollution free day, views can amplify as far as 100 miles into 7 states. To get to the observation tower, you have to hike up a 0.6 mile trail that ascends 400 feet.

I had to visit a client in Portland a few years ago, so I did not have a lot of time to see any points of interest. I do remember Mt. Ranier as we were flying in. That was an awesome site! I would like to go back one day for a more leisurely trip.

This is my family’s favorite place to stay when we go on vacation to the mountains. We did a lot more walking this time than we usually do. We came across a very good place to eat called The Old Mill Restaurant. Unfortunately, the wait here is really long because it is a very popular place.

My son really enjoys going to the aquarium. I tried to get a few good photos while we were there this time.

The vacation was great. I always enjoy going to Gatlinburg and the surrounding areas. My wife and I hope to be able to go back again later this year or early 2006.

My family stayed in Pigeon Forge a few weeks ago for vacation. We went to Cades Cove and I got a few good photos. I really enjoy going there. It is so peaceful.

I visited my parents a few years ago when my father was working in Brentwood, Tennessee. I woke up the morning that I had planned to leave and instead of driving South back to Birmingham, I drove north and wound up in Bowling Green. I wanted to visit the Corvette plant, but they had just quit giving tours on Friday the week before I went up there. I would like to go back one day and take the tour.
