You don’t mind being hearded like cattle and you can go more than 6 hours without peeing after spending the entire evening celebrating by drinking lots of alcohol.

I actually went up in the World Trade Center in September 1986. I also visited Ground Zero in January 2004.

When my husband and son and I lived in Saudi, it was nice to go to Bahrain for a few days to get away. In Bahrain women can drive and don’t have to wear an Abaya. My husband liked it because he could get a good beer and have ham, bacon or pork chops to eat. We also could see movies there.

I traveled to Saudi Arabia (Aramco in Dhahran) in July of 2005. My husband was working for Aramco in their Hospital at the time. I wnet with my 7 year old to live there with him.
It was an interesting experience that I am glad I was able to have. I did miss my family and friends though. As a woman I wasn’t able to drive and I had to wear an Abaya (that black dress) whenever we went off the compound. Since it was the eastern provence I did not have to cover my head or face like the women do in Riyahd or Mecca.
