Worth visiting!
A tip I have about this place
Excellent food, and a very peaceful atmosphere. Of course, if you have issues with the Sri Chimoy crowd…

This place used to have stellar vending machines, stocking Reed’s Ginger Ale and Jones soda, Lindt chocolate, and all sorts of things. Less so now, but it may wax and wane, as does the magazine selection.
I’ve never had any problems finding a washer or dryer, though apparently the roof is less than 100%, rain-wise.

My family loves this place, but every time I eat here, I’m mildly ill.

Great yarn shop. Friendly, knowledge staff. I have to stay away, for fear of spending all my money there.
They announce classes, sales, etc. through their yahoo group, rss feed of which is http://rss.groups.yahoo.com/group/articlepract/rss?ygroup=articlepract

This is going to take the place vacated by Krishna Copy (which moved to take the place vacated by that weird furniture store). I’ve been wishing for a Peet’s on Telegraph for quite a while—the Med is great for local character, but they have crap for tea.

Meh. Not as large, diverse, etc. as the Jack London Square market in Oakland.

I don’t really like cake that much. I’m a pie person. In fact, I will generally decline cake even when I’m looking for dessert. Crixa, however, is an amazing, transcendent experience. Despite the fact that all the staff really creep me out, for reasons I’ve never been able to adequately explain.

The Med is an interesting place, providing caffeinated beverages (I can’t speak to the quality of the coffee, but I can say they do not take tea seriously), somewhat suspect food, and highly suspect eating companions; it is also, I am told, the site for at least part of the writing of “Howl”
