Trenton
I was born here. I didn’t grow up there but I spent several summers there as a child. I think New Jersey, in general, gets a bad rap that it doesn’t deserve. It’s a beautiful state.

When I went to PA a couple of years ago, I found a new place to explore. It’s called New Hope. My brother took me through it as we came back from the Poconos. It’s North of Philadelphia, but not far. It’s a quaint little touristy place, and apparently quite popular for people from the “City”, which ever city that might be.
There’s a local artist who creates these sculptures of Burros painted in all different colors and designs and they appear throughout the town in some unusual places. I would like to go back sometime and take pictures of them all, kind of like a scavenger hunt. But for now, here’s one I found on the website that I linked above.

I lived there for several years while stationed at Fort Bragg. I even went back to visit friends after being discharged. There’s just not a lot to the place besides titty bars, pawn shops, and car dealerships.

shopping in the markets and dining. The food was great! It’s best to park on the U.S. side of the bridge and walk over though.

that had a port of call here. Spent the day touring the surrounding area and town. If you go, you’ve got to see the La Bufadora (sp?).

We used to make regular trips between Florida and PA when I was a child, we always made a point to stop. When I lived in North Carolina back in the late 80’s I drove down to see if it was what I remembered. Seemed kind of quiet and run down compared to my memories from the 70’s but if your driving I95, you just have to stop.

I sure hope it’s worth visiting! Actually, it seems to be a whole different world compared to the rest of America. It took me a while to get used to it and like it. I’ve been living here 9 years as of May 2005. I love the diversity of the culture. The proximity to so much culture and areas of interest, and the weather isn’t too bad. Although, I wouldn’t mind it being a bit warmer at night.

at my friend’s parents’ farm in rural Kansas. It was a great taste of life in rural America. It’s probably the flattest place I have ever seen anywhere in America.

Back then it had a gorgeous downtown area. I caught a train from Union Station to Harrisburg. The best pizza I have every had was at a place called Gino’s East.
Flew into Chicago last year while visiting another area of Illinois. It was a pain trying to find a gas station outside of O’Hare and the drivers were wack!
