Poor
Some of the people were friendly, but there are the very unfriendly anti-US groups there. I was in the North and it is very poor and corrupt.

Yep, I was one of those US G.I.’s stationed in Udorn. I used to train Thai navigators and found everyone very friendly. It was poor then, but the people were friendly if you treated them with respect.
