I’m hoping to go to Greece sometime in August. I definitely want to make sure I see some of the ancient ruins but I also want to experience current day culture. Beaches, shopping and nightlife are a plus. A requirement of my ticket is that I fly into Athens but once I’m there I’m flexible about going elsewhere as long as I can find a way. I don’t know much about the area so if anyone has any suggestions on unexpected places I should try to see or good areas to stay that would be really helpful. It’s me and a friend going, we’re both recent college grads and we want this to be a trip to kick off the next stage of our lives.

I’ve been to USVI a few times and I always stay on St. John though I’ve been to the others. It’s a beautiful place with friendly people and lots of sun. The best place for a burger is Skinny Legs in Coral Bay. Spend the mornings at the beach and head to Cruz Bay for shopping and drinks in the afternoon.

Bring your rain boots. It floods most mornings but it dries up by midday and in the afternoon you’d never know it had been raining earlier.
