I spent a few days here with a US sailor. We had a lovely romantic few days staying at The Crest Hotel (adequate rooms). We wandered the city, window shopped, visited the Pool of reflection and went up to Sydney Tower (who ever would have thought a sailor who has swum in the middle of the ocean with sharks would be scared of heights?).
I caught the train to and from the airport – i loved this – so convenient and quick and easy (very sad to say goodbye though). It was an experience I will always remember.
I can see why this town might not be to everyone’s tastes but I had a great time.

Big crowds but good shopping and great atmosphere!

We took a bum boat river cruise along the Singapore river, saw a beautiful side of the place. I love water travel and this little cruise was great for seeing how Singapore has developed. There is a recorded commentary which tells us a lot.
