Pullman, Washington State

Untitled

I went to college here. That’s about all I can say..! To be honest, the landscape was beautiful – especially during the fall months. If you’re a geography/history/geology buff, you might love it. If you’re not..might wanna skip it. If you’re one of those that’s being forced to live there because of your choice in higher education (oops), you WILL find things to keep your mind busy. It isn’t completely devoid of culture – you just have to work a little harder to find it.

Port Townsend, Olympic Peninsula

Fond memories

This town has a lot of special memories for me as my mother and I used to visit (from Whidbey Island when she first lived there) once a year as a sort of ‘mother, daughter’ bonding thing. Its a great place to spend the day with someone. You walk everywhere – there’s no reason not to. Coming from the mainland, you can park your car at the ferry and just cross on the ferry as a ‘walkie’ which is cheaper. Townsend has some great main streets with lots of places you can explore. While waiting for the ferry back, I spent a lot of time sitting by the water and just enjoying the smell and sound of it all. Watch out for the birds…they love to poop. haha!
