Summit Public House, Capitol Hill
I've heard they show cycling on Sundays
I’ve heard that a good number of folks pack the place to watch cycling on Sundays (OLN’s rebroadcasts of the big races). Any Sunday it rain, I’m there.

over 5 years agoUmbria is Tuscany’s neglected little brother. I spent a summer in Umbria with trips into Tuscany. I loved walking around the small towns of Umbria, biking it’s roads, taking trains to Assisi, Perugia, etc. It’s as beautiful as Tuscany but less traveled. Highlights for me were Perugia, Assisi and Orvieto.
over 5 years agoThe sheer size of the city is daunting. It’s a dirty city with terrible traffic. It’s hard to find things in. It’s not very tourist friendly. Most of it’s attractions have been more or less ruined by it’s sprawl. Still, you have to got there. Once you do get your bearing there is so much going on there, so many things to see, so much to do, that you can’t help but love it. When you add to that it’s proximity to Puebla, Teotihuacán, and other day-trip destinations, it’s a long vacation in itself.
Musts: anthropology museum, history museum, murals all over the place, demonstrations in the zócalo, plaza garibaldi (mariachis), temploy mayor and the cathedral, coyoacán (Frida Kahlo’s house etc.), Xoximilco, an entire day Chapultepec park, Teotihucán, a day in one of the markets.
