While I was in college, in central Iowa in the 1980’s, we saw the Northern Lights one night in late summer/early fall—and I’ve seen them here in Western WI —both rural areas. Of course not as intense as in Canada/Alaska—but also not as cold or far away…

My hubby earned a sales incentive trip here—we had such a nice time. Went in December, so the Winter Market was going on near our hotel—so much to see, very walkable, gorgeous architecture of all sorts including this building. Worried it would be too much of a party town, but we had no probs.
