Roving Cigars

One thing to look for, if you’re a fan of fine cigars, is the roving cigar sales man. From time to time, you’ll see vans driving around the Tampa area with a phone number and the words, Call me for a cigar (or something to that effect) printed on the side of the van.

Simply call the number, and get your self either a fine name brand cigar, or, in some cases, an onsite, hand rolled cigar. They’ll do one for you right there. It’s truely amazing.

Fun times

I highly recomend going to Ceasers Palace and doing 2 things; 1) go the to the Casa Fuente store and get a house brand cigar. 2) take that cigar and go to the Sea Hourse Lounge and enjoy it.

Also, go to the Rum Jungle and Red Square in the Mandelay Bay Hotel. If you’re looking for a show, Penn & Teller are a great choice. Good food? Smith and Wholenski’s across the street from the Montecarlo. Don’t forget to see the water show.

When here, try these fine places

Living in Chattanooga has been fun. I’ve been here for over a year, and I like it. There are some really surprising little places in this town, and I’ve enjoyed finding out about them.

For instance, TubAtomic Studios (www.tubatomic.com) host the Cre824 national web design competition each year. They’re a fun bunch of guys.

For good coffee, I recomend the Stone Cup. It’s on the north side of the Tennessee River, just across the bridge on Fraiser St. Try the mocha blanco.

For a fun time out, my friends and I hit TacoMac on Market St. 200+ beers in stock (anything from the Sweet Water brewery is good) and the people there are a lot of fun. Carla or Erin are the servers of choice.

If you’re up late, hit the City Cafe on ML King. Open 24 hours a day, and great food.

Best calzone: Lupi’s on Broad St.

Great down town area. I love walking around the side streets with my camera. Good photo ops.

Maybe I don't get it but...

Ok, I’ve been to LA. It’s not that I have any dislike for the west coast, but, honestly, I hated the city. Driving around it at certain times looked like an apocolyptic vision of the future. Once you got our of the main city, things improved. I ate a very cool mexican place somewhere on the coast, and had a lovely drive down what ever highway it is that goes along the ocean.

Moving here soon

I hope to be moving to Atlanta in the next month or so. If you’re there, maybe I’ll see you around.

Great City

I spent a week in Limoges, and it’s an amazing city. The people were very friendly, lots of convieniant tobac stores, bars all over the place, and more coffee than I could take in. I HIGHLY RECOMEND this city.

(Just a note: This is a random couple that I saw there. It’s not me, I promise)
