Stowe, Lamoille County

Untitled

I’ve visited Stowe twice, both times in summer. The weather is cool during the day in August (in the mid 70’s) and chilly at night (40’s). But visiting a ski town in summer is a totally different experience! I’d recommend staying at the Trapp Family Lodge (if you can afford it). It’s owned by the Von Trapp Family (The Sound of Music) and is a very lovely, top-notch place to stay. The food is outstanding, the rooms are each individually decorated in an Austrian theme, the service is wonderful. The town of Stowe really caters to summer visitors with loads of activities for all ages.

San Francisco, San Francisco Peninsula

Friends

I visited San Francisco in May 2007. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who lives just outside of SFO, so she was able to show me the touristy stuff as well as the local stuff. We had a wonderful time! I’d recommend visiting The Exploratorium, China Beach and the beach at low tide. We spent hours early one morning wading through the tide pools, it was amazing!

Sweden, Europe

Untitled

The first time I visited Sweden was in February 2006. I went to meet my dearest friend who lives in a village in Skåne, just outside of Lund, called Södra Sandby. We had never met in person before, as we had been penpals for several years. It was my first trip to Europe and at the time, I did not speak any Swedish.

I fell in love with Sweden! Even though it was cold and snowy, the people I met were warm and friendly and very interested in learning about my life and teaching me about theirs.
