Piazza Navona, Parione
Untitled
This is where I lived in Roma… actually, in rooms attached to the Church of St Agnese, but I walked through the piazza basically every day. The fountains are lovely, and it is great fun to sit on the benches and watch all the people go by. The vendors are unfortunately everywhere, and they are even worse when it rains (“umbrelli, umbrelli?”), but it is still a fun place.

I lived in Roma for 4 months and I loved it! I had been there before, during tourist season (June), but it is much more enjoyable in the late winter and spring when there are less tourists. There are so many places to go, eat, see, etc etc. And since it is such a large city, most people speak English, though they have more respect if you at least attempt to speak Italian :)
