I Lived here for a couple years. What a fun town lots of fun stuff to do. Great people,good food, places of interest, what more could you ask for???

My folks moved there in 2000, so I go, or try to. about once a year. Very pretty.

I basicly grew up here. From 1980-1998 so 18 years 1/2 my life.
In the years I lived in GA Atlanta went through a growth spurt. It seemed to go from a quaint little southern city to a Mecca in a short ammount of time. Atlanta is just like any other city now. Good areas, not so good areas.Stick to the north side around Piedmont Park, and you’ll be fine.However BEWARE This city is unplanned and street names change seemingly on a whim! The locals know the back roads, and maps are of little use. Traffic is horrible!!! Couple things to keep in mind 1. 285 circles the entire city (learned that the hard way) 2. Don’t ask the guys with the stripes down their legs for directions.( These are prison work crews and the correctional officers frown on this (My mother learned that -the guy just shook his head and asked her to “move along”)
