Kiel Canal, Kiel
Untitled
It’s quite possibly the coolest thing ever to be biking along the canal and have monstrously huge container ships floating along right beside you. Quite amazing.

over 5 years agoThe thing about Saskatchewan is that you have to want to get to know it — it may not just jump out at you like some places. It IS exotic — there’s not tons of other places in the world that are so sparesly populated, yet have the necessities of life readily accessible, and it’s far, far, FAR more diverse than what a trip through on the TransCanada will show you. Get off of it, go north, go way south into Grasslands National Park — even not far from Saskatoon there’s the Thickwood Hills and so on. The best approach is to really exist in Saskatchewan, not just merely observe it on its surface. It’s the details that are important here.
