Spent my spring break here….probably should go back in the summer to get an even better look at the culture and city. Beautiful, great architecture, fantastic art scene…

I can’t say enough about this. Buy a good hat and just spend your week there! See the rodeo, the chuckwagon races, and the Grand Stand show.

Go for the people, the Stampede and the scenery.

I have a hard time rating any place as large as a state “not worth visiting” however, I was trying to put myself on an international perspective. So while Michigan is great (I have seen much of the upper peninsula) you could go to Ontario and see even more of the Canadian Shield.

I have fallen in love with the Spanish language. There is something so honest about it and the words flow beautifully. Right now the plan is to spend two semesters there after I finish my undergrad. I can’t wait, it will be integral in reaching my other goal of becoming bilingual.

Due to my lack of travel experience I am sadly including a place I went to once for a few weeks when I was 8. I think it counts because I remember it vividly. The museum was amazing (at least at the time). I had my first visit (and only?) to a Chucky Cheese that week…what a magical place.

I lived in Calgary for three months this past summer. It was a fantastic city, lively, not too big even for a small town girl. People were so friendly! It was almost embarrassing crossing the street there because the “step-out-and-wait” until everything is clear doesn’t work because everyone stops for you! I also explored Edmonton, it was a nice city but I would recommend Calgary for more adventure, especially if you go to the Stampede! Get yourself a good cowboy hat and just go! The mountains are amazing too, ps.
