I was just there again with a friend from Seattle. In Puglia I’m used to no english and really great food. In Venice, everyone we talked to spoke english (which has its + and ) and every meal we had was horrible! But the city is beautiful and we got to experience it flooded at record levels-have a pair of rubber boots as a reminder of the trip.
I was there in 1986 and thought it was great. I would be curious to see how much it has changed in the past twenty years.
over 6 years agoLast weekend not a tourist in sight (besides us). Beautiful, clear, and fairly cold, day. Great view of the bay and Vesuvius.
