I heard it burned down during the storm (Hurricane Ike). Guess I can scratch this one off the to-do list.

I’ve applied for a job that would take me there, and I would love to see the river and all the architecture.

Figured out that if I travel soon, I can use my frequent flier miles to go (while it’s still cheap).

Breathtaking views to the northwest. En route to/from Seattle I sat on the west side of the plane and took loads of pictures of the alien landscape outside my window.
Also, they still have a smoking section inside the terminal, which I thought was odd since I never see those anymore.

The only thing I really liked about Dallas. My friends who live there had a great time buying cheap produce from all the vendors who were here on a Saturday afternoon.
But it was kind of tricky trying to find the place (either Garmin gave bad directions or our driver messed up)—it’s located just north of a few weird highway intersections.

Think this is where we went that night… in 2001? Probably to see the Deathray Davies. And before the show we walked to their house and hung out for a little while.

Slightly sad/eerie, but mostly just annoyingly full of gawking tourists and people trying to sell you conspiracy-themed newspapers (really forcefully).
There are a LOT of unsavoury characters in Downtown Dallas but I suspect they’re mostly harmless during the day (despite the scare-story the cops were giving me at the greyhound station).

I wish I’d let my dad take my picture in front of anything in this town, but I was far too angsty to pose in front of the Roslyn mural, therefore the picture we have is of a stranger posing there.
