Edinburgh, Scotland

Untitled

This is my absolute favorite place on earth! The city center is very touristy but the city is very easy to navigate so I suggest walking around the sections outside of the New and Old towns and seeing more of the city. I especially loved walking down Ferry Road and the view up to the Royal Mile and all it’s landmarks. There is nothing I didn’t like about Edinburgh.

Thurso, Highland

Untitled

Thurso is worth a short visit. There’s not a lot to do, but the bumpy bus ride to John O’ Groats past Dunnet Head is definately worth taking for it’s rural scenery. Thurso itself has little to offer, but there is a nice walking path along the shore and some small cliffs. Good if you want to head north for a sleepy little break.

Isle Of Skye, Inner Hebrides

Untitled

An absolute must see! Incredibly friendly people and incredible scenery. We stayed at Skye Backapckers just across the bridge from the mainland and they were wonderful. We went with little money and missed all the public transport so ended up hitchhiking around the island and were so surprised how quickly people pulled over to pick us up! It’s probably one of the last places around where sticking your thumb out on a roadway will still get you a ride.
