We got engaged...

...at the top of Tank Hill on an amazingly clear September day. It was such a special moment, with the entire city in sight and the hill to ourselves. When I called my parents to tell them the news, my mom said, “That’s where I would have done it too.”

Why I recommend this place to visitors

Russian River has great wineries that are cheaper and less stuck-up than the ones in Napa. The grape leaves turn bright yellow in the fall!
