A review of this place: 5-star Location

You’ll find the finest hotel resorts here in Nusa Dua.
It’s a nice place. Pricey, but fun! Better beaches than Kuta & Seminyak.

Seminyak

this place

My friends and I would stay in Kuta every spring break or holidays, but spring break ‘07 was a bit different. We stayed in Seminyak, in our own villa with three big rooms, private pool, kitchen, living room, full-service for housekeeping, walking distance to the beach. 7 nights for US$1,000. Not bad huh?

Kuta

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Shop, Laze, Party but still awake before sunrise

Kuta is probably the busiest district in Bali. Getting to Kuta can be very annoying because of the narrow roads and one way streets. Regardless, it’s a perfect place to go with friends and family if you’re looking for the busy streets of Bali. Everybody pretty much speaks basic English. However, going into some shops, you HAVE to haggle. Some tourists may think the prices of the items may somehow be equivalent to what it is back home. Keep it mind, rupiah currency is different from dollars, euros, pounds etc. The value is much lower. In Kuta, some vendors would sell for a ridiculous price.

Many bars can be found in Kuta. Most of them offer happy hours! Depending on how localized the bar is, the prices of drinks may vary. Some bars only serve local beers which is way cheaper. However, some bars are also popular for its imported beers which will be more expensive.

On location, live music are also available along with dance clubs. The most popular on the streets are Bounty Ship and Paddys. There are also the “elite” ones such as MBargo (very popular after midnight), Hard Rock, Sky Garden etc.

When you head to Kuta Beach or Pantai Kuta, it is very populated with vendors selling you watches, jewelleries and ladies who will braid your hair with beads and massage services. The vendors may get really annoying. If you’re looking for just a hot, relaxing day in the sun, they will offer you non stop and more vendors would actually come forward to you. That’s the annoying part. BUT don’t be harsh, they’re only trying to make some money to provide for their families. In Kuta, if you want to sit or lay on a pool chair by the beach with a beach umbrella, you will be charged, Rp. 25,000 to Rp. 50,000 – depending how good you haggle with them. I highly recommend Rp. 40,000 to Rp. 50,000 for TWO chairs.

Whether you think you won’t enjoy, you gotta experience it – that’s what travelers are born to do.
