i would say to really explore this place, not just the flashy psychodelic stores on the main front. walk around, go in the vintage stores, see the amazing houses, and just take it all in!

the gift of SF

when i turned 18, my parents gave this midwestern girl the gift of san francisco. i opened up my present to find a plane ticket to california, where i would stay with my amazing aunt in oakland, and spend all of my time in the city, just soaking up the culture. it was amazing. for the most part, i stayed away from touristy stuff, but i did (accidentally!) go down the crookedest road in the world twice! i spent most of the time around USF and on the haight, going to little vintage shops and bars. it was amazing. i definitely left my heart in san francisco, and i need to go back soon…
